CarbonView software
Supply Chain Consulting is launching CarbonView - carbon management software solution, which helps businesses become greener by implementing a carbon emission reduction strategy and monitoring their performance. Industry leaders like DuPont, IBM, 3M and Wal-Mart have been early adopters of sound environmental strategies. But, Carr emphasises that today every socially responsible company should have a carbon management strategy.
His views are echoed by Peter Klein, the architect of CarbonView and a Vice President at Supply Chain Consulting who said "Most organisations see the value of implementing green supply chains, but the majority struggle to get started and fail to make substantial progress". Klein is passionate about the environment. In September he was the keynote speaker at the Automotive Logistics conference that took place in Detroit and is also a regular speaker at universities, including MIT, on carbon measurement and reduction. He is currently working on a book entitled “The how to book for carbon strategy” which will include interviews with some of the worlds leading companies on their carbon strategies.
"CarbonView was created to help businesses get over that hurdle and make genuine improvements. It follows our own carbon management model – a five-step process for implementing an enterprise-wide carbon management strategy. The CarbonView platform provides the vital technology layer needed to support each phase," explained Klein.
