KEE KLAMP UNVEILS RANGE OF TUBULAR STRUCTURE

Kee Klamp will showcase its full range of tubular structure solutions designed to ensure quick and easy assembly and cost-effective performance in a wide range of health and safety applications. These include its Kee Klamp® and Kee Lite® fitting ranges, which are especially popular in guardrailing construction, the Kee Klamp 500 Range for use in handrailing and baulstrading structure assembly and the full range of KeeGuard roof edge protection systems.

The Kee Klamp® fittings range includes a wide variety of easy to use, galvanised cast iron fittings for the quick and simple connection of pre-cut lengths of standard tubing to form guardrailing and any other type of tubular framework structure. All fittings within the versatile and extensive Kee Klamp® range incorporate an integral socket set screw which locks the fitting securely onto its tube to give an excellent slip load performance. This approach also eliminates the need for time consuming welding or specialist installation skills, so helping to keep assembly time down to an absolute minimum and reduce costs. The fittings feature a special factory applied Kee Koat™ and ThredKoat™ coatings which protect the fitting and its thread from corrosion. These coatings are proven to lengthen fitting life and reduce discolouration. They also ensure that structures are easier to disassemble for adjustment or extension.

Also on show will be products from the Kee Lite® range of strong, lightweight and corrosion-resistant tube fittings, manufactured from a high grade Aluminium Silicon Magnesium alloy. They are much lighter than ordinary fittings, ensuring an especially easy to handle and quick to assemble solution for tubular guardrailing and other structures. With their bright aluminium finish, unique contoured design and discreetly positioned set-screws, installations featuring these innovative Kee Lite® fittings also benefit from a more aesthetically attractive finish. Even though the fittings are much lighter than conventional products, they remain strong and durable throughout the lifetime of an installation.

Designed and developed for the disabled, with versatility, ease of assembly and speed of installation in mind, the Kee Klamp® 500 Range features a total of twelve fittings. Ideal for use in creating new handrailing and balustrading structures, the Range can also be used as a retrofit solution, because it includes an offset fitting which allows a new handrail to be added onto an existing structure of appropriate size. When and where required, the 500 Range can be easily augmented with fittings from the established Kee Klamp® fittings range.

The KeeGuard roof edge protection system is an ideal safety system for new or existing flat roof structures. It features just three principal pre-fabricated components – a main upright, a main counterbalance and a free end assembly which is designed for use on runs of 6m and above where no wall fixing is available. All assemblies are designed for use with 42.4 and 48.3 o/d diameter tubing and standard fittings from the Kee Klamp range to provide a complete, easy to assemble solution. The system also allows for integral kickboard fixing to save even greater time and cost on site. It is fully modular and versatile enough to adapt to most roof edge profiles and changes in levels. Sections can be easily taken down and re-erected as necessary, should existing buildings or roof areas be extended or altered in any way. Because the system is free-standing, there is no roof membrane penetration during installation, minimising the risk of leakage or damage to the roof covering.
